Report: Paul Heyman Was Behind Several Segments On WWE Raw

This week’s Raw saw a 10% increase in viewership compared to last week, and was widely regarded as the best Raw show in weeks.

A report has since emerged suggesting that while the show was now solely run by Raw’s new Executive Director Paul Heyman, he and Vince McMahon worked on the show together.

However, it has since been reported that several ideas from Monday’s show came directly from Paul Heyman.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer is reporting that a whole host of segments and angles from Raw this week came from Heyman.

Meltzer confirmed that the idea to bring NXT Tag Team Champions Street Profits to Raw came from Heyman. He also said that Brock Lesnar’s advocate pithed the idea for the Mike and Maria Kanellis pregnancy angle, and the stage explosion at the top of the show between Bobby Lashley and Braun Strowman.

It is believed that Heyman’s full role in charge of Raw will begin after the Extreme Rules pay-per-view in just under two weeks.
