The plan for current WWE SmackDown star Big E for the upcoming December 20 TLC pay-per-view on the WWE Network has reportedly been revealed.
As per Ringside News – whose reports have been accurate as of late – E is currently scheduled to challenge Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship at TLC.
There have been hints on TV recently that Zayn could have been defending against Daniel Bryan, but with Bryan reportedly set to challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Title at Royal Rumble, it makes sense for him to stay out of the IC Title picture.
E, Bryan and Rey Mysterio picked up a win over Zayn, Dolph Ziggler and Shinsuke Nakamura in a six-man tag match dedicated to Pat Patterson on this past Friday’s SmackDown, with Bryan pinning Zayn.
The following matches have all been confirmed by WWE for TLC so far:
- Roman Reigns (c) vs. Kevin Owens – Universal Championship TLC match
- Drew McIntyre (c) vs. AJ Styles – WWE Championship TLC match
- “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton
- Sasha Banks (c) vs. Carmella – SmackDown Women’s Championship
- Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler (c) vs. Asuka & Lana – Women’s Tag Team Championship
Other matches that could be added are Bobby Lashley defending the US Title against Riddle, New Day defending the Raw Tag Title against Cedric Alexander & Shelton Benjamin, and Street Profits defending the SmackDown Tag Title against Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode.
