Report: Rey Mysterio Genuine Doubt For WrestleMania

It is being reported by the Wrestling Observer that the ankle injury reportedly suffered by Rey Mysterio during Monday’s episode of Raw is genuine and it isn’t known whether he will be fit to compete at WrestleMania.

Fans and critics were sceptical regarding the alleged injury given that WWE themselves reported it, which often means that the injury is a work.

However, Dave Meltzer is reporting that this one is the real thing and Rey is fighting to be fit for Sunday’s show.

If cleared he will go one on one with United States Champion Samoa Joe. Rey’s son Dominick, who you may remember from the bizarre Rey vs Eddie Guerrero custody match, will be at ringside supporting his father.

The presence of Dominick has led to speculation that Rey will pull out and be replaced by his son, who has previously undergone wrestling training under the likes of Lance Storm.

We will keep you updated with Rey’s condition as news reaches us.
