Report: Rey Mysterio Was Supposed To Be At WWE Raw This Week

On this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, former WWE Champion Seth Rollins and Murphy defeated Aleister Black and Humberto Carrillo in a tag team match.

Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik appeared on the show via video call, but it has actually emerged that the duo were supposed to be at the Performance Center before plans changed.

Dave Meltzer confirmed on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio that Rey and Dominik were actually supposed to be at the Performance Center for Raw.

While speaking about this, he also notes that Randy Orton, Natalya and Austin Theory were also not at the Performance Center for the show:

“Rey Mysterio and Dominik were scheduled to be on the show, but they actually did a segment from home. Austin Theory was not there. Of the main characters those are the ones I noticed. No Randy Orton, obviously. I don’t know what that means. I guess in a sense he’s the biggest one. Maybe if he’s not on next week and on the next week it could tell you something. Not all of these absences are COVID-19 positives that I just named like Natalya who wasn’t, but some of them were.”

As Meltzer states, it’s very important to note that while this show was taped after the reported Coronavirus outbreak within WWE, just because these people were not on the show does not mean that they have tested positive for COVID.

For example, as Meltzer states, Natalya was not at the taping but has reportedly tested negative for COVID. She did not appear on Raw as her husband Tyson Kidd was sent home from the PC with a fever, but has confirmed on Twitter that has tested negative for the virus on two occasions.
