According to WrestleVotes, there was talk of adding a Roman Reigns vs. Buddy Murphy match to the SummerSlam card following their altercation on last night’s SmackDown Live.
For those of you who didn’t see it, here’s what happened.
I’m not entirely sure it’s fair to have that much bicep on just two men.
While WrestleVotes did not confirm that a match was going to be added, it did say there was talk, and in today’s WWE, that’s about as good as it gets in terms of backstage rumours.
There were discussions last night about adding Roman Reigns vs Buddy Murphy to the SummerSlam card after the angle that went down on SmackDown. Source said it wasn’t decided either way yesterday, but it remains a possibility as we get closer to the show this weekend.

It would be Buddy Murphy’s first main roster match, despite being moved to SmackDown Live from 205 Live in April.
While he definitely won’t win, a match with Roman Reigns at SummerSlam is one hell of a debut.
It was reported earlier by PWInsider that the Roman Reigns vs. Daniel Bryan match had been scrapped, which would leave the door open for Buddy Murphy to take his place.
