In a move that would have seemed incredibly unlikely just a few short months ago, Sasha Banks reportedly signed a new contract with WWE before WrestleMania 35, keeping her with the promotion for years to come.
The report comes from Bryan Alvarez on the latest Wrestling Observer Live, but he was unable to give any contract specifics such as length.
Banks recently returned to WWE after several months out due to reported frustrations with WWE’s creative team and other officials. It was reported for some time that she was on the verge of quitting, but it seems that she has decided that she’s happy where she is and wants to wrestle again.
Her former tag partner and current SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley has once again joined forces with her in a heel tag team, with both women attacking Becky Lynch with a steel chair this past week on Raw.
She is set to take on Lynch at Clash of Champions this coming weekend, and it is thought that she may pick up the win, allowing Lynch to be drafted over to SmackDown Live for when it moves to FOX on Friday nights in October.
Are you glad to see that Sasha is staying with WWE? Let us know in the comments.
