With the majority of the main roster stranded in Saudi Arabia late last week, we were treated to appearances on Friday Night Smackdown from a whole host of NXT stars.
Shayna Baszler, Roderick Strong Matt Riddle, Bianca Belair and Keith Lee appeared on the show, while Tommaso Ciampa, Rhea Ripley, Tegan Knox and Adam Cole all wrestled against main roster stars.
However, it seems like NXT will also be invading Monday Night Raw tonight, as PWInsider is reporting that several NXT stars are in New York for tonight’s show.
“Adam Cole, Matt Riddle, Damian Priest and NXT North American Champion Roderick Strong”.
Damian Priest is interestingly the only NXT star who is set to appear on Monday Night Raw tonight who didn’t appear on Friday Night Smackdown last week. There is no word on why he was brought in.
It is likely that a few more NXT stars will be featured on the three-hour broadcast, so expect a few more surprises for tonight’s show.
The main event to Smackdown saw Adam Cole defend his NXT Championship against Daniel Bryan in a cracking match. I expect another of the black and gold brand’s top stars to be in action on tonight’s show.
