Report: Shane McMahon Being Considered For Head Of WWE Raw

According to a report from Alex McCarthy of Sportskeeda, Vince McMahon is considering putting his son Shane McMahon in charge of Monday Night Raw following his return to TV a few weeks ago.

In his report, McCarthy notes that Vince McMahon is considering putting his son Shane in charge of Monday Night Raw, which would allow Bruce Prichard to fully focusing on running Friday Night SmackDown.

Now, one source in WWE has told me Shane is being considered to take RAW off Bruce Prichard’s hands leaving him to concentrate on SmackDown.

Other sources that I’ve posed this information couldn’t give concrete confirmation, though judging by work behind the scenes, they can believe it. Another layer to the story is Prichard making no secret about the fact he’d like to lighten his workload and he’s been struggling with the long hours.

Back in November, WWE fired Eric Bischoff as Executive Director of SmackDown, instead putting Bruce Prichard in charge of the blue brand. Prichard also took over as the Executive Director a few months ago following the firing of Paul Heyman.

With Prichard currently in charge of both brands, it’s unsurprising to hear that he wants to lighten his workload. Conrad Thompson, who co-hosts a podcast with Bruce, said that Vince’s right-hand man was stressed out in his new role.

It was revealed following the Royal Rumble this year that Shane McMahon was one of the people involved in putting the match together, and it seems like Shane has made a good impression backstage, as he is being considered for a huge role within the company.
