It was reported this week, amongst many other crazy Mr McMahon stories, that Triple H is becoming increasingly frustrated with some of his father-in-law‘s decisions on WWE’s creative team.
The report also referenced Shane McMahon’s role on the creative team, and said while he is not fully part of the decision-making process, he does sometimes suggests storylines for himself, but these are more often than not shot down.
Following this report, Dave Meltzer discussed Stephanie McMahon’s position on WWE’s creative team in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Meltzer said that Stephanie, who is WWE’s Chief Brand Officier is so busy in her role that she doesn’t have the time to be on the creative team, and has no position there. She often does public appearances and represents the company at important business events, meaning it is almost logisitically impossible for her to have any sort of full-time role on the creative team.
It is likely that Stephanie does have some say in creative decisions for her character especially when she is on-screen, but after recent reports it appears that not being on the creative team might actually be a blessing in disguise for the former Women’s Champion.
