As per a new report, a somewhat surprising match for WWE Hall of Famer Edge has been “discussed a great deal” for next year’s WrestleMania 37 event.
Although the long-term plan for a while now has been an Edge vs Randy Orton rematch, WrestleVotes is reporting that another opponent could be on the cards.
That opponent is “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt. WrestleVotes tweeted:
WrestleMania update: Source states that while Edge vs Randy Orton has been the long standing plan, and still is at the moment, the idea of Edge vs The Fiend has been discussed a great deal for the show.
Edge has been out injured since he tore his triceps while taping the ‘Greatest Wrestling Match Ever’ with Randy Orton for the Backlash pay-per-view.
He originally made his return at the Royal Rumble in January after a nearly 10-year injury-forced retirement, had a Last Man Standing match with Orton at this year’s WrestleMania and then the aforementioned one at Backlash.
