At Hell in a Cell last month, WWE had The Miz defeat Otis in singles action, with some assistance from a Tucker heel turn, to win the Money in the Bank briefcase for the second time in his career.
According to a new report from Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE gave The Miz the Money in the Bank briefcase because they wanted someone to hold onto it until next year.
Why WWE couldn’t have just kept the briefcase on Otis and had him hold onto it until next year remains to be seen, but perhaps WWE has some plans for The Miz and the WWE Championship in 2021.
At this time, it is unclear whether WWE is going to have The Miz successfully cash in his briefcase and become WWE Championship for the second time next year, or if they are planning on having him lose the match.
