The Wrestling Observer is reporting that this week’s episode of WWE Raw was the most Paul Heyman influenced show since Brock Lesnar’s advocate was appointed executive director of the red brand.
Feedback and reaction to last night’s show has been very positive, with fans and critics alike commenting on how different the show felt.
Standout moments include Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows winning the Raw Tag Team Championships in a three-way against the Revival and the Usos, Ricochet coming out on top in a five man gauntlet match, and Brock Lesnar destroying an already injured Seth Rollins backstage.
The gauntlet match in particular has received high praise, and it is believed that the match itself was a Paul Heyman idea, and one officials hoped would help create future stars in Ricochet and Andrade in particular.
The show was a definite improvement from the last few months and really felt like a fresh start. However, no-one is likely to get carried away because fans of WWE have been fooled one too many times to believe anything will really be changing in the long-term.
