Earlier today it was reported that two independent stars are backstage at Full Sail for NXT’s debut on the USA Network.
It is also believed that Kevin Owens will be appearing on the show after being fired by Shane McMahon on Smackdown last week.
However, PWInsider is now reporting that another former NXT Champion in Tommaso Ciampa is backstage at tonight’s historic TV taping.
This comes after Ciampa recently said that while he isn’t yet cleared to wrestle, he will step back into the ring in the future.
It is quite plausible that Ciampa will not be making an official return to NXT tonight and is just backstage as a guest. However, it would not be surprising to see him appear on the broadcast in some capacity.
Also backstage for the big show is former Riott Squad member Sarah Logan, and NXT UK’s Imperium member Alexander Wolfe.
