It has been reported that a popular AEW star will miss Double or Nothing due to injuries suffered in a recent match.
Rey Fenix hasn’t competed for AEW since his match with Chuck Taylor in April. A report has revealed that the luchador is on the shelf, and will miss Double or Nothing.
It was reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Fenix will not wrestle at the May 30 pay-per-view event. Not much information on his injuries were given, but it is reportedly believed that Fenix was hurt during a recent match in Mexico. It is currently unknown when Fenix will return to action.
Fenix and PAC unsuccessfully challenged The Young Bucks for the AEW Tag Team Championship last month. At Double or Nothing, PAC and Orange Cassidy will battle Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship.
The Young Bucks will defend their gold against Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston. Another report revealed that Moxley had specifically asked to work with an interesting NJPW talent on a recent episode of NJPW Strong.
We wish Rey Fenix a safe and healthy recovery.
