Report: Top Independent Star Wants To Join WWE

After dropping the NWA Women’s Championship earlier this week, it was speculated by many that Thunder Rosa would be joining WWE. This came after it was reported that both WWE and AEW were interested in bringing her in.

However, Billy Corgan revealed on an Instagram story post following this speculation that Thunder Rosa isn’t going to be joining WWE anytime soon, that she is under contract with NWA through 2021.

While Thunder Rosa may still be under NWA contract, this doesn’t mean that she isn’t looking elsewhere, as Dave Meltzer is reporting on the Wrestling Observer Radio that she told NWA that she wants to join WWE:

“It was about three weeks ago when I was told that Serena Deeb is going to win the title because Thunder Rosa wants to go to WWE or is looking to go to WWE, but like I said she’s under contract, so it’s hard to say how this is going to turn out. The people in AEW are still under the impression that she’ll work dates with them and with Billy Corgan.”
