A number of talents are have reportedly finished up with AEW ‘under the radar’.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), some per-appearance agreements have expired this year, with talents not yet going public with the news. No specific stars were named in the report.
A number of previously contracted AEW names confirmed that they became free-agents earlier this year after their contracts expired, including Joey Janela and Stu Grayson.
A fair portion of the AEW roster have picked up injuries in recent months, notably including AEW World Champion CM Punk. Fightful has also reported that a number of other talents are dealing with injuries that have not been publicly disclosed.
The card for tonight’s AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view event has been changed several times due to various issues, with NJPW’s Tomohiro Ishii and Hiromu Takahashi pulled from the card.
