Report: Vince McMahon Behind Push Of Popular WWE Star

It was reported earlier on this week that Vince McMahon is very high on Matt Riddle, seeing him as a young version of two-time WWE Hall of Famer, Shawn Michaels.

Well, it seems like Riddle isn’t the only SmackDown star that Vince is a fan of, as another report has emerged suggesting McMahon is behind the push of a popular wrestler from the blue brand.

At Money in the Bank back in May, Otis shocked fans when he won the Money in the Bank briefcase, guaranteeing him a World Championship match whenever he so pleases.

Otis has been a favourite of the fans for a long while now, so many were happy to see that WWE is seemingly looking to push the Heavy Machinery member to the top of the card.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select is now reporting that Vince McMahon is very high on Otis, and is behind his push on SmackDown:

If you wondered who was behind the recent push of Otis, it probably shouldn’t come as a surprise that the Heavy Machinery member is a personal favorite of Vince McMahon. Fightful Select has been told that Otis is a “total Vince McMahon project.” We’re told that his ascent to stardom on the brand was likely consistent with this, but that both Tucker and Otis had long made positive impressions in about any locker room they were in as well.

It has also been reported that Otis was set to feud with a former WWE and Universal Champion over the last few months. You can read more about that story by clicking here.
