Last week at Super ShowDown, Ricochet was squashed in a fairly convincing manner by WWE Champion Brock Lesnar. Fans were critical of how little offense Ricochet managed to get in
Many were hoping for the former United States Champion to get back on track by picking up some wins on the road to WrestleMania. However, Ricochet was defeated by 24/7 Champion Riddick Moss on Raw last night.
Dave Meltzer is now reporting on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio that Vince McMahon is “burying” the former NXT star because has given up on him.
This is extremely disappointing, Ricochet is a great in-ring worker and could get properly over if given the chance. WWE has seemingly not helped the situation by giving Ricochet awfully scripted promos on Raw each week.
There is currently no word on if a particular match or promo caused Vince to give up on Ricochet. For the latest on this story, stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com.
The fact that he is now being ‘buried’ is particularly surprising given the fact that it was reported last year that like Aleister Black and Murphy, Ricochet was a favourite of Raw Executive Director Paul Heyman.
