Dave Meltzer has noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter following his loss on Raw to Ricochet that WWE and Vince McMahon have no plans on pushing Tucker up the card following his heel turn.
Last month at Hell in a Cell, WWE had Tucker turn on Otis and cost his former tag team partner the Money in the Bank briefcase. However, there are reportedly no plans to have a singles feud between the two:
He was treated like the jobber of jobbers so he’s deader faster after the Otis split up than was hinted to me. The angle was shot to get the briefcase off Otis with no plans of building an Otis vs. Tucker feud, and was just a way out and dropped.
As the pay-per-view after Hell in a Cell is Survivor Series, some have speculated that Otis vs. Tucker will be one of the SmackDown vs. Raw matches on the show. However, it doesn’t seem like this is in the works.
Last night on SmackDown, Otis was defeated in a SmackDown Survivor Series qualifying match by Seth Rollins. The match saw Murphy and Seth Rollins seemingly tease reuniting their act together.
