All I can picture is Vince McMahon going “MWAHAHAAHAHAAH” while lighting and thunder noises play in the background.
Yes, according to Fightful Select, Vince McMahon was seen laughing at the negative fan reaction that the finish to last night’t Hell in a Cell generated.
If you somehow haven’t seen it yet, basically what happened is that Seth Rollins beat the Fiend up so much that the referee called for the match to be stopped, thus destroying all the Fiend’s momentum.
Fans chanted “bulls**t”, “AEW” and asked for refunds long after the show went off air, but apparently this was all completely hilarious to Vince.
The Fightful report is that at least one story they’ve heard says that Vince McMahon was “initially laughing off the reaction,” but that Vince did later accept that he had messed up with the finish.
It has really got to the point now where you have to start wondering whether WWE has too much money and too little sense to care about what they serve up on TV.
Do they just assume that no matter how negative the reaction is that people will just accept it and keep watching? Constantly falling TV ratings would suggest that this is less and less the case, and that if this sort of stuff keeps happening, fans will stop watching.
