Samoa Joe has been out of action for several weeks after it was revealed he had broken his thumb. You will have noticed that he has been appearing on kick-off panels and doing a lot of interviews because he’s just too good to be left off TV completely.
When he was injured, he was part of Raw, but he was left undrafted in the recent WWE Draft, which means he could end up on SmackDown when he eventually returns.
Speaking of which, Fightful Select reports that WWE’s internal injury list has Joe down as returning in December 2019, although this does not mean he will be put straight back into storylines.
“Samoa Joe is listed as ‘returning’ in December. This is hardly a guarantee.”
Fans love him whether he’s a heel or a face, but he’s definitely a more effective heel. When he does return it will be a huge relief to a lot of people, given how popular he has become and the presence he brings with him.
WWE has a bit of an issue with injuries at the moment, with the likes of Xavier Woods, Jeff Hardy and Nia Jax all out of action with serious injuries. Hopefully 2020 will be a less injury prone year.
