Since the introduction of the Women’s Royal Rumble match, there has been a lot more competition for which match would main event the show.
For the past week, rumours have suggested that it would indeed be main-evented by the women’s Rumble match, but according to the latest report from Fightful Select (subscribe here), the men will be taking the final match on tonight’s card.
The report states:
“The last Fightful had heard, the Men’s Royal Rumble match was planned to main event the evening’s show.”
Current betting odds have Daniel Bryan as the favourite, but as we’ve seen in previous years, these odds often change soon after the start of the show, once the “smart money” bets start flooding in, usually after the winner has been internally leaked.
Fightful added that this was the plan of this morning, and therefore there is of course every chance plans will have changed throughout the day, but either way we’ll know in a few hours.
