Report: Who Came Up With The Idea To Do CM Punk Vs Jon Moxley On Dynamite Instead Of All Out? AEW

A new report has revealed who came up with the idea to do CM Punk vs. Jon Moxley on tonight’s AEW Dynamite instead of All Out.

On August 17 edition of Dynamite, All Elite Wrestling announced that the planned All Out main event of CM Punk vs. Jon Moxley for the AEW Undisputed World Championship would take place on the August 24 episode from Cleveland.

Per Fightful Select (subscription required), an AEW source indicated that Jon Moxley was in favor of the move to push the match up. One source even indicated that Moxley came up with the idea and pitch for the change.

The same source said that “CM Punk eventually agreed to it” after All Elite Wrestling wanted to go ahead with the plan.

On his Day After Dynamite show, Grapsody’s Will Washington noted that he had heard there was an idea in play a few days before the announcement to increase ticket sales and add buzz to tonight’s AEW Dynamite in Cleveland.
