Report: WWE Considering Moving Raw & SmackDown To Capitol Wrestling Center

As has been widely reported, WWE is going to have to move Raw and SmackDown shows out of the Amway Center by next month due to the restart of the NBA, and the search for a new venue is underway.

However, it seems like the new home for Raw and SmackDown may not a totally new venue for WWE, as Ringside News is reporting that WWE is considering using the Capitol Wrestling Center for their shows.

Ringside News has learned that the company is looking at the possibility of running Raw and SmackDown in the Capitol Wrestling Center, home of NXT and 205 Live. This will be a very short stay, possibly only for one week.

The report notes that Raw and SmackDown from the Capitol Wrestling Center isn’t expected to be a long stay, and may only be for one or two weeks. However, it certainly makes sense for WWE to be potentially looking at using the venue.

According to various reports, the front runner for a more long-term venue for WWE main roster shows from next month is the 42,000 seater baseball stadium Tropicana Field. You can read more about that by clicking here.
