Just under two weeks ago following NXT TakeOver: WarGames, Corey Graves posted a rather ill-considered tweet aimed at NXT announcer Mauro Ranallo.
Ranallo, who has a history of mental health issues, was said to be in a bad place following the tweet. He missed both Survivor Series and NXT the following Wednesday.
While Corey did apologise on the After The Bell podcast, many people are unhappy with how the SmackDown commentator has not been punished by the company.
On the matter, PWInsider is reporting that Corey has not been punished by WWE because he is a favourite of company chairman Vince McMahon:
“I was told this week when all of that went down that nothing is going to happen to Corey Graves. Vince loves Corey Graves. So Vince does love him, I don’t know why, but he loves him.”
While Corey Graves is a very good commentator and personality, I disagree with not punishing someone for their actions just because you like them.
However, the most important thing is that Mauro is said to be in a much better place right now and has returned to TV.
