On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that people within WWE expected Jeff Hardy to have a concussion following his match with Elias on Raw and the scary botch that took place during the bout.
He hit the back of his head and he grabbed it right away and he was walking around like he was hurting real bad. That wasn’t a sell. He was looking to see if he split his head open, which it didn’t appear that he did. But I had heard that there was kind of an expectation that he had a concussion but he hadn’t been diagnosed as having one because that wouldn’t come as yet anyway”.
For those that haven’t seen the bump, Jeff Hardy tried to hit a Swanton Bomb to the outside through a table onto Elias, but Hardy didn’t manage to catch all of it and ended up hitting his head not he ring steps.
The bump, which you can check out by clicking right here, was rather scary and left many fans worried for Hardy’s safety. Fightful Select has since posted an update on the status of both Jeff Hardy and Elias following the show.
