Unlike many other WrestleManias in years previous, this year’s show saw no surprise appearances from Hall of Famers or legends from the past. This is obviously due to the fact that Coronavirus caused the show to be held with no fans.
However, it has emerged that WWE held talks with a soon-to-be two-time Hall of Famer regarding a potential appearance at the “showcase of the immortals”.
Ringside News, who have had a very good track record of late, have learnt that WWE held talks with Hulk Hogan regarding a potential ‘Mania appearance. However, these negotiations obviously fell through.
“There were talks to have him come in, but “negotiations fell apart.”
They go on to explain that the belief is that Hogan would have been part of a ‘Peep Show’ segment with former tag team and Intercontinental Champion Christian.
These talks obviously started once WWE knew that the show would have to be filmed at the Performance Center in front of no fans as Hogan was always set to appear along with the nWo at Mania to accept his 2020 Hall of Fame induction.
There is no word on why these talks fell through, so make sure you stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com for the latest updates on this situation.
