Earlier on this week, Impact Wrestling announced that it had severed ties with its World Champion Tessa Blanchard. This came after a reported breakdown in the relationship between the two parties.
While WWE is reportedly looking to release some of its more “problematic wrestlers”, it has been speculated online that they could make a move for Tessa Blanchard to bolster their women’s division that is without Ronda Rousey, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch.
Well on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer is reporting that WWE is interested in signing Tessa and has put feelers out to find out if she’d be interested in joining the company.
This has been corroborated by Tom Colohue, who reports that a number of people within WWE have been suggesting that they look to hire Blanchard. He also adds that the company has “put out feelers to gauge Blanchard’s interest”.
Earlier this week I mentioned that a numver of people within #wwe were advocating for the company to hire Tessa Blanchard.
Apparently the company have "put out feelers" to gauge Blanchard's interest. https://t.co/ZkGzv0UWa0

It was reported earlier this week that Tessa had already received interest from a few promotions, but we weren’t sure which. We now know that WWE is one of the companies looking to bring the talented worker in.
Many people have speculated that Blanchard could end up working with AAA or another Mexican promotion as that is where she is living at the moment with her fiancee and Impact Wrestling star Daga.
In case you didn’t know, WWE reportedly turned down the chance to sign Tessa a few years ago due to reported “attitude problems”. It was also reported that Tessa was kicked out of the Performance Center for a fight with her ex-boyfriend Ricochet. However, she has denied that this happened.
At this time, there is no word on if AEW is also interested in signing Tessa. While she may have reported “attitude problems”, there is no denying that she’d be a massive coup for the promotion’s women’s division.
Speaking of WWE being interested in signing people, it was reported yesterday that the company pulled an offer to a top young independent star in the wake of the #SpeakingOut movement. To read more about that story, click here.
