Report: WWE Is Keeping An NXT Star’s Injury Status Quiet

The NXT brand has been put through the wringer this week. With major injuries to both Finn Balor and Ridge Holland, it seems like things couldn’t get much worse. However, there is one star who we know very little about injury-wise and that’s Kyle O’Reilly.

Kyle O’Reilly was clearly at least a bit banged up during his match with Balor this Sunday. He was bleeding from the mouth during the match but that can often occur as a result of a busted lip. However, it seems WWE does not want news of a potential injury to O’Reilly getting out.

Fightful Select (subscription required) has reported that they attempted to get an update on O’Reilly’s condition but WWE were keeping this news close to the chest.

This, of course, would lead one to believe any injury suffered by O’Reilly is more significant than previously thought. If this was something minor, WWE would likely just say what it was. However, until we know more this is just speculation.

O’Reilly and Balor wrestled for nearly a half-hour at NXT Takeover 31. The two battled over the NXT Championship with Balor eventually getting the win with the Coup de Grace.
