WWE has reportedly made a decision on Edge’s opponent for WrestleMania 38.
On Monday’s episode of Raw, Edge issued a challenge to the WWE locker-room for the April 2-3 event. WrestleVotes has since revealed that WWE’s plans for the Show of Shows are ‘very fluid‘, which is why Edge’s promo teased several stars as possible opponents.
Ringside News – which has had several backstage reports recently confirmed by the likes of Fightful and Dave Meltzer – now reports that a tenured member of the WWE creative team has stated that Edge’s WrestleMania opponent is ‘locked’.
The report also noted that the announced Raw Tag Team Championship match was pushed back so WWE would have more than a week to promote the ‘major’ title bout. Alpha Academy is set to defend the gold against RK-Bro and the team of Seth Rollins & Kevin Owens on next week’s show (February 28).
Edge last wrestled at WWE Royal Rumble, teaming with Beth Phoenix to defeat The Miz & Maryse.
