Over the last few months, a lot has been made of WWE’s decision to ban its wrestlers from using third-party platforms and streaming services like Twitch and Cameo.
Several WWE stars, including Cesaro, Mia Yim and AJ Styles announced last week that they are going to be suspending or stopping their streaming channels in light of the new ban from their employers.
It has emerged that this ban, rather interestingly, doesn’t extend to talent down in NXT. On The List & Ya Boy, Sean Ross Sapp noted that Superstars of the black and gold brand are exempt from the latest ruling:
“Main roster. Main roster people have to take it in. NXT is exempt for now. I don’t know why that is.”
This means that NXT stars such as Drake Maverick, Jessamyn Duke and even former NXT Champion Adam Cole are going to be able to continue streaming on the platform while they are part of NXT.
At this time, there is no word on why WWE higher-ups opted to have only main roster stars part of this new ruling and not Superstars from down in NXT. For the latest on that, stay tuned to WrestleTalk.com.
