WrestleMania 37 was the first show WWE held with a live, fan-populated audience for more than a year, and it asked the question as to when the next time we’ll see fans at a show will be.
Many suggested SummerSlam, as it’s WWE’s next big show, but it seems WWE may be planning to bring fans back in even sooner.
According to a new report from PWInsider, WWE has already started planning to hold “test shows” with fans ahead of a full return to live crowd shows somewhere down the line.
The report reads: “The company intends to start out with some test live events this summer, but they are very early in the planning stages and would be subject to where things stand nationally with the COVID-19 pandemic.”
The report adds that WWE would like to host these shows in July or August, but will be monitoring the pandemic, and may need to change plans depending on the state of the country’s infection rates.
Jim Ross recently revealed AEW is planning to return to a live touring schedule in July, but this is yet to be confirmed by anyone in an official capacity.
