The first thing many people noticed about Bray Wyatt and his Fiend SummerSlam entrance (other than the fact that it was amazing) was that he was carrying a rather different lantern.
The lantern was the head of the old Bray Wyatt, with its eyes sewn shut and the mouth gaping open to allow light to escape.
WWE seemingly decided that this lantern was too scary to show on YouTube, because the lantern was edited out of the clip showing his entrance.
This gave rise to the suspicion that WWE had decided the pull the lantern from future entrances, but according to Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Live, this may not be the case.
Alvarez noted that he had reached out to multiple sources on the matter and none of them had heard anything about the lantern being dropped from Wyatt’s entrance.
It should also be noted that Mattel are planning on having the lantern as part of an upcoming Fiend action figure set.
It will be interesting to see if the lantern is part of Bray’s next entrance, whenever that may be.
