Report: WWE Possibly Planning Marquee Main Roster Feud For NXT Star

One night before SummerSlam, NXT will have their chance to shine as the black and gold brand puts on NXT Takeover: Toronto.

The show is set to be headlined by NXT Champion Adam Cole and Johnny Gargano as the pair meet for the third consecutive NXT Takeover event, this time in a two-out-of-three falls match.

Also on the show will be an NXT Women’s Championship defence from Shayna Baszler, as Mia Yim tries to wrestle the title away from the 38-year-old.

Speaking of Baszler, Tom Colohue is reporting that WWE might be planning a big feud on the main roster for the former MMA star.

“Oh we’re definitely going to see Becky Lynch vs Shayna Baszler, and I’m confident it’ll be sooner than you think”.

While Colohue is not reporting anything as 100% fact, he says that he is “confident” a Shayna Baszler vs. Becky Lynch will take place “sooner than you think”.

This comes after it was reported several weeks ago that there were plans in place to see Shayna Baszler and Adam Cole move up to the main roster in the coming months.
