WWE reportedly have big plans to feature an NXT star more prominently on TV going forward, with changes to their existing character incoming.
After beginning her WWE career as in-ring talent alongside Joe Gacy’s Schism faction in late 2022, Ava has more recently settled into an authority role as the NXT General Manager across the last 12 months.
After a year in her current role it appears as if a change may be coming to Ava’s character and prominence on WWE TV, according to a new report from WrestleVotes.
During WrestleVotes Radio on Sportskeeda Backstage Pass Patreon it was noted that Ava is planned for a greater role on WWE TV, with new merchandise planned and a change to tie her character to that of The Rock’s Final Boss persona.
“Creative has begun putting plans in motion for NXT General Manager and, of course, real life daughter of the Rock, Ava, to be featured more prominently on TV, as well as have merchandise and character ties to her father, alluding to his final boss persona.
“We are told plans could include her playing off the final boss character on TV as a way to raise her importance. Ava, from all accounts is well-liked and could have a big future with the company.”
The Rock and Ava appeared alongside one another during a backstage segment at WWE NXT New Year’s Evil, with Rock coming face-to-face with former NXT Champion Ethan Page.
We will provide further updates on Ava’s planned WWE push as more information becomes available.
