On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that Mia Yim (aka RECKONING of RETRIBUTION) was originally set to take part in the women’s Royal Rumble match at the pay-per-view last night.
Mia Yim tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday and announced the news on social media that day. She subsequently entered a period of self-isolation which meant that she had to be pulled from the women’s Rumble match.
Meltzer speculated that Shotzi Blackheart or Santana Garrett, both of whom appeared in the women’s Royal Rumble match last night, may have been brought in to replace Mia Yim in the match,
If you didn’t manage to catch last night’s show, there were several surprise entrants in the women’s Royal Rumble match, which you can check out by clicking here.
As always, Wrestletalk would like to extend our best wishes to Mia Yim at this time. We hope she is safe and healthy and can return to WWE TV when it is safe for her to do so.
