Report: WWE Stars Offered Contracts Worth $750,000

Say what you like about Retribution, at least they’re on TV quite a lot, and that’s more you can say about a lot of WWE stars who could arguably be booked a lot better.

But just in case T-Bar sees this and calls me something mean on Twitter, I’m not going to say anything mean about the stable, especially as it seems we’re going to be seeing a lot more of them now.

According to Fightful Select (subscribe here), all the members of Retribution, exclusing Mustafa Ali, have been offered new 3-year deals worth $250,000 a year.

The report reads:

Fightful has learned details on new contract offers to members of Retribution. Several sources with knowledge of the deals say that in the fall of 2020 WWE offered each member of the stable — not including Ali — three year contracts worth $250,000 per year. This is significantly lower than a lot of the incoming deal offers made in the last two years with more competition on the scene, but obviously the state of the world has changed things in that regard.

Some of the call-ups earlier this year were told that they could possibly re-negotiate offers when and if things change, but we weren’t told if Retribution were extended the same courtesy, or even if they signed on the dotted line. We have heard of numerous wrestlers in WWE who have opted to pass on renewing their contracts, instead choosing to wait until their leverage is better.

Earlier today, there was speculation that both Riddle and Ricochet may well have declined new WWE deals, so we’ll have to see whether T-Bar, Mace, Slapjack and Reckoning are feeling like spending another 3 years in their masks and with those…unique names.
