Report: WWE Stars Reach Out To Andrew Yang Over Twitch Ban

On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that he knows of several people within WWE that have reached out to Andrew Yang regarding the decision WWE made to have its talent stop streaming on Twitch.

This news comes after several of the company’s wrestlers, including former WWE Champion AJ Styles, revealed this week that they are suspending their Twitch streams following orders from WWE.

Speaking on the matter, Meltzer noted that this new ruling couldn’t come at a worse time for WWE, considering the US Election is taking place next week:

“Everyone is getting off Twitch. There’s a lot of unhappiness. I don’t know how many are talking to Andrew Yang. I know that there are several people talking to Andrew Yang and it’s a very interesting thing because, you know the election is coming. From a Vince standpoint his timing for making this move is terrible.”

On her stream on Thursday evening, former Divas Champion Paige actually broke down into tears, noting that she “cannot deal” with WWE anymore and has given too much to the company. You can read more about that by clicking here.

For those that don’t know, Andrew Yang has been incredibly outspoken about WWE following the reports that they’d be asking their wrestlers to stop streaming on Twitch. The former US Presidential candidate even threatened government action against WWE.
