After months of uncertainty, it’s now being reported that the city chosen to host August’s WWE SummerSlam has finally been confirmed.
As per Fightful Select, Las Vegas has now been locked in as the location, which is what rumors had been pointing to for quite a while.
Due to the upcoming Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr happening in Vegas on the very same day (Saturday, August 21), there had been some thought about moving SummerSlam to somewhere else.
Official contracts to lock the pay-per-view into Vegas weren’t signed until last weekend, according to the report.
Pacquiao vs Spence Jr will be taking place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, and the most likely venue, although this hasn’t been confirmed yet, for SummerSlam, is the Allegiant Stadium.
The official announcement will be made by WWE in the near future.
