Report: WWE Super ShowDown Was ‘Miserable And Borderline Unworkable’

Finding anyone with anything positive to say about WWE’s latest Saudi Arabia Show, WWE Super ShowDown, has been a difficult.

Unfortunately for WWE, the news just keeps getting worse and worse, as Fightful is reporting that a number of superstars were very reluctant to wrestle in the Saudi conditions.

Temperatures were well above 40C (100F) for much of the evening, and stars were visibly struggling to perform to their potential as a result.

Goldberg, who was in the difficult to watch main event against the Undertaker, collapsed after the match finished, as caught by on camera by a fan.

The report says that many backstage were surprised that the main event went as long as it did, especially given the conditions in the stadium.

According to Fightful, their sources have told them that stars felt the conditions were “miserable and borderline unworkable”, and that revolting re-hydration drinks were handed out backstage to keep wrestlers hydrated.

Fightful is also reporting that the decision as to whether women would be allowed to wrestler went down to the wire before it was decided that the match would not be going ahead.
