Report: WWE Turning Raw Star Babyface For Potential Big Push

It’s being reported that WWE is turning a Raw star babyface as of last week ahaead of what sounds like a potential big push.

Over the past number of weeks, Lana has been put through the announce table several times, split from her tag team partner Natalya, yet still managed to win the #1 contender battle royal last week.

Dave Meltzer reports in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE believes this turned Lana babyface because she managed to overcome the odds and eliminate the partner who turned on her all after being put through the announce table and being dominated for so long.

The report specifically notes that even the term “massive babyface” was used to describe Lana by those within in the company.

Lana has a match for the Raw Women’s Title on tomorrow’s show against Asuka (who’s also a babyface), and the former has been on social media trying to get sympathy and support with an emotional video ahead of her big match.

With the apparent turn and potential big plans, perhaps the title match tomorrow won’t be as one-sided and simple as we may have thought.
