Despite Roman Reigns himself announcing he would not be in his match with Goldberg at WrestleMania, WWE is unbelievably still advertising that he will take on the Universal Champion at this weekend’s WrestleMania 36 show.
We have already learned that in addition to Reigns, The Miz, The New Day, at least one of the Usos, Andrade, Dana Brooke and Rey Mysterio have all been removed from the show as a result of health concerns, but not all of these have been announced.
According to cagesideseats, WWE is likely going to wait until the very last minute to announce anything regarding these matches, in the hope some fans will not have heard the news and will therefore watch the show without realising Reigns won’t be in action.
It’s easy to be negative about WWE when they try to pull a stunt like this, because it is actively trying to mislead fans into thinking they’ll get something that they’re not getting.
I think people would have a lot more respect for the company if they just admitted that plans have changed, and that unfortunately we’ll be getting a different card to the one that was originally advertsised.
Basically, don’t lie to your viewers.
