The Fiend Bray Wyatt is currently one of the hottest and most over acts in not only WWE but the entirety of wrestling.
This is evidenced by the fact that The Fiend’s second match was a character will be a Universal Championship bout against Seth Rollins at Hell In A Cell.
The Fiend generated one of the loudest pops of the night at his SummerSlam debut, and the mere sight of a Firefly Fun House segment on Raw often sends the crowd crazy.
With this in mind, some have speculated that WWE could be planning to turn Bray Wyatt into one of the company’s top babyfaces ahead of the impending war with AEW.
However, Wrestling News is reporting that while WWE higher-ups are aware of the great reactions The Fiend has been getting, there are no plans right now to turn him babyface:
“People in WWE are aware of the babyface reactions he is getting right now but I’m told there are no plans for him to turn right now.”
While Wyatt will seemingly be a heel for the foreseeable future, it is unclear whether he will be the Universal Champion in the coming weeks.
It has been speculated that The Fiend might actually lose to Rollins via DQ Hell In A Cell, meaning Bray Wyatt might not be Universal Champion by October 6th.
