Report: Zelina Vega Was At SmackDown Hours Before WWE Release

It was a surprise to many yesterday when WWE announced just hours before Friday Night SmackDown that they had decided to release of Zelina Vega (real name Thea Trinidad Budgen).

It has since emerged that Vega didn’t ask for her release from the company, but was informed that she was going to be let go by WWE yesterday afternoon. You can read more about that by clicking here.

Taking to Twitter, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful has noted that the former Raw and NXT star was actually at the Amway Center for SmackDown last night before being informed that she was going to be let go:

Following on from Vega’s release, it was reported that her real-life husband Aleister Black had recently asked to return to NXT, a request that higher-ups within WWE turned down.
