Results: New Champions Crowned At NWA Hard Times

NWA hosted it’s Hard Times pay-per-view on Fite Network tonight [January 24, 2020].  Tonight’s show featured the culmination of the Television Championship Tournament.

However, a new Television Champion isn’t the only new champion crowned.

Thunder Rosa defeated Allison Kay to become the new NWA Women’s Champion.  In addition, James Storm and Eli Drake defeated The Wild Cards and The Rock-N-Roll Express to become the NWA Tag Team Champions.

Ricky Starks is the new Television Champion.  Here are the results of tonight’s tournament:

Round 1:

• Trevor Murdoch defeats Question Mark
• Dan Maff defeats Zicky Dice
• Ricky Starks defeats Matt Cross
• Tim Storm advances due to Ken Anderson forfeit

Round 2:

• Trevor Murdoch defeats Dan Maff
• Ricky Starks defeats Tim Storm

Finals:

• Ricky Starks wins the NWA Television Title defeating Trevor Murdoch

The other matches included Scott Steiner vs. Aron Stevens.  The match ended when Question Mark attacked Scott Steiner.

Also, Nick Aldis retained the NWA World’s Championship in a match up with Flip Gordon.  Aldis appears to be in a feud with Marty Scurll’s Villain Enterprises and this should set up the match between Scurll and Aldis.

Another huge announcement was the announcement of the return of the Crockett Cup. The Crockett Cup is set to take place in Atlanta, but will not be in the same arena the YouTube Series is shot in.
