Retribution Member No Longer In The Group

There was a rumour earlier this week that Mercedes Martinez may have been given the boot from Retribution. This was due to Martinez not being followed on Twitter by her stablemates. Now, this has been confirmed.

PWInsider is reporting that Martinez has been moved back to NXT and is no longer in the group. She had only been moved to Raw as part of the group earlier in the Summer.

This news is accompanied by a tweet from Ali, seemingly confirming the report. He posted a picture featuring drawings of himself, T-Bar, Slapjack, Mace, and Reckoning. Martinez (AKA Retaliation) was notably absent from the tweet.

Ali was revealed as the leader of Retribution this week on Raw. Perhaps it will be written into a storyline to explain Martinez’s absence from the group, however, that may just be wishful thinking.

Martinez had only signed her contract with WWE in January of 2020. She had been appearing on NXT prior to her main roster call up. Now, according to the report, she will be returning to NXT, rejoining the already stacked NXT women’s division once again.

What do you think of Mercedes Martinez leaving Retribution to return to NXT? Let us know on Twitter!
