WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has announced that he’s set to return to WWE TV within ‘the next month or so’.
Speaking on his Kurt Angle Show podcast , Angle confirmed that he has been contacted by WWE to return as an on-screen character. Excited about the future, Angle said:
“Yes, I did (get a call) from the WWE and they want me to be involved in the show for the next month or so. I’m really excited about it. So we’ll see what’s in store for me.”
Fightful previously reported that WWE planned for Angle to be in St Louis during Royal Rumble weekend, with the company interested in utilising Angle for an on-screen role. Shelton Benjamin recently shared a photo of himself and Angle at Royal Rumble, confirming that the Hall of Famer was backstage for Saturday’s event.
Shane McMahon is also reportedly set to be a regular on-screen character moving forward, following his return in the men’s Royal Rumble. There is reportedly significant heat on McMahon, with many backstage believing he booked the Rumble around himself.
