Months of speculation about Sasha Banks’ WWE future were put to rest yesterday, when Sasha, now known as Mercedes Mone’, made her debut for NJPW at the Wrestle Kingdom 17 show.
Since then, Sasha has been moved to the alumni section of WWE.com, seemingly confirming her departure from the company.
Sasha, being one of WWE’s top stars for the past six years, was featured heavily on a lot of different advertising for the company.
Notably, she was featured on the page for Friday Night SmackDown prior to her NJPW arrival.
Now, in keeping up with the news of her departure, Banks has been removed from FOX’s website page for SmackDown, being replaced with recently returned SmackDown star Tegan Nox.
Tegan returned to WWE on the December 2 episode of the show after a year away from the company following her November 2021 release.
There has been an update on Naomi’s status with the company following Sasha’s departure, which you can read here.
