Recently Returned WWE Star Set For Big Push WWE

A recently returned WWE star is reportedly set to receive a big push in the company, with them being impressed following his return.

Aleister Black made his return to WWE on the SmackDown after WrestleMania 41, when he took out The Miz after weeks of videos airing on the show.

Aleister’s contract with AEW expired back in March, with him signing with WWE shortly after.

Black has recently been around much of SmackDown’s upper midcard in recent weeks, including backstage interactions with Ron Killings, LA Knight and Damian Priest.

In an update on Black’s standing in the company from PWInsider Elite (subscription required), there has been a lot of praise and talk surrounding him in creative circles.

When speaking to some sources within the company who noted to PWInsider a few years ago that there were plans for Damian Priest to be elevated to the upper card, there has been a lot of discussion within creative of wanting to raise Black’s profile on the SmackDown brand.

This is the reported reason for Black recently interacting with so many names on the brand in recent weeks, with the plan to move Black up the card as the company has reportedly been happy with both his work and his merchandise sales since his return.

Black has also yet to lose a singles match since his return to the company, with his only defeats coming in multi-man matches where he was not pinned.
