Returning Star Gets Injured During WrestleMania 39 WWE

UPDATE: The nature of Shane McMahon’s injury has now been revealed – find out more at this link.

A WWE star may have just made a triumphant return however they seemed to have suffered an injury at WrestleMania 39.

Shane O’Mac is back!

Shane McMahon making a shocking return to WWE at WrestleMania 39, involved in an angle with hosts of the event, The Miz and Snoop Dogg.

When McMahon got to the ring, he briefly took the mic to thank fans for their warm reception, noting it meant a lot to him.

After an impromptu match kicked off between he and the Miz (who was still fully clad in a very sparkly suit) things took an unexpected turn.

It seemed that Shane McMahon suffered an injury almost straight away attempting to do a leapfrog with Corey Graves on commentary expressing concern for his knee, and awkwardness in the ring with The Miz wondering what was happening.

While the segment needed to continue, Shane was removed from the ring with a doctor, and Snoop Dogg took over and ended up being the one to deliver a People’s Elbow on the Miz and win the match.

It seemed that the spot was legitimately being called in the moment as the referee Jessika Carr was audibly heard to be calling the spot to Snoop Dogg for the People’s Elbow.

It is WrestleMania and WWE always says to expect the unexpected so who knows what else the evening might hold!

WrestleMania 39 Sunday is set to host a full card of exciting matches including the main event match between Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.

The show kicked off with a battle of the behemoths between Brock Lesnar and Omos, and there was an appearance by Bobby Lashley.

Later a massive match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship between Sheamus, Drew McIntyre and champ GUNTHER. Did it live up to the hype? Click here to read more and find out!
